  Established in 1994, Saint Louis MHB is an independent government taxing authority administering two special property taxes: the Community Mental Health Fund and the Community Children’s Services Fund. Tax dollars are granted to non-profit organizations that provide high quality services that benefit City residents.

Janice Thomas

Janice Thomas comes to MHB with extensive experience in operations in various areas of health services, finance and biomedical manufacturing. Janice helps organizations achieve their goals by leveraging her diverse skill set that includes personnel management, program development and management, process improvement, budget and financial management.

Janice is experienced in board service serving currently as the Board Chair of a national organization, as well as regional services as Chair of Nominating Committee, lead on work groups, tasks forces and special projects. She is the Coordinator of the Coalition for Justice for Elder & Disabled Adults. Janice is a native St. Louisan, proud Metro High School and St. Louis University graduate as an undergraduate (School of Business) and Graduate studies (School of Public Health).
