  Established in 1994, Saint Louis MHB is an independent government taxing authority administering two special property taxes: the Community Mental Health Fund and the Community Children’s Services Fund. Tax dollars are granted to non-profit organizations that provide high quality services that benefit City residents.

Vander Corliss

CFO - United Way

Downtown Neighborhood

Vander, a city resident since 1999, has been an MHB Trustee since May of 2022 and serves on the Finance – Investment Committee. He is the CFO of the United Way of Greater St. Louis and is responsible for the overall financial health of the $80MM+ not for profit with a $14MM operating budget. Vander also oversees technology, and is the staff person responsible for its Finance, Investment, and Audit Committees at the United Way of Greater St. Louis. His St. Louis related volunteer passions include Crossroads College prep and Trinity Episcopal Church. Vander represents the Downtown Neighborhood.
