Programs with a Focus
Missouri state statutes allow the Community Mental Health Fund to invest in the following program areas:
- Community mental health centers or clinics
- Comprehensive mental health services include; inpatient services, outpatient services, day care and other partial hospitalization services, emergency services, diagnostic and treatment services, liaison and follow-up services, consultation and education services, rehabilitation services, prevention services, screening services, follow-up care services, transitional living services, alcoholism and alcohol abuse prevention and treatment services, and drug addiction and drug abuse prevention and treatment services
- Mental health services purchased from any community mental health center, clinic, public facility or not-for-profit corporation
- Approval of service by the Missouri Department of Mental Health generally required
Funding Priorities and Outcomes:
The current (FY24-26) grant cycle of CMHF is focused on the following:
Reduce barriers to evidence-based care in clinical and non-clinical settings for groups disproportionately experiencing mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
- People disproportionately experiencing mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders initiate and sustain healthy behaviors and experience fewer barriers, resulting in increased access to and participation in behavioral health programs and services.
Provide care at an appropriate level of intensity, consistency, and stability for people with serious mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders.
- People with serious mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders initiate and sustain healthy behaviors.
