Cassandra Kaufman
Executive Director

The Saint Louis MHB Board of Trustees, after completing an extensive search selected Cassandra Kaufman as MHB’s Executive Director, effective July 1, 2021. She becomes the third MHB Executive Director, succeeding Jama Dodson who retired following nine years of outstanding leadership and service.

Prior to being named as Executive Director, Cassandra served as MHB’s Deputy Director since March 2013, overseeing MHB’s community investments and grant making activities. “The Board recognizes her outstanding leadership skills, strategic vision, and commitment to the mission of MHB, and we are fortunate to have her leading MHB’s talented staff,” stated Linda Grayson, MHB Board Chair.

Cassandra has 30 years of experience in nonprofit management and leadership in health and human services, having served as a Vice President in the Community Investment Division at the United Way of Greater St. Louis, prior to joining MHB. She holds a Master of Social Work degree and Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Missouri St. Louis and a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
