Prevention Partnership Director
Lisa is the Director of Prevention Partnerships for St. Louis MHB. She manages a portfolio of 15 projects who have the collective mission to improve the quality of life for city residents by providing a coordinated system of social and behavioral services to build an equitable, thriving community. Lisa has a vast background in community organizing, violence prevention, and neighborhood stabilization so she is also on loan to St. Louis Area Violence Prevention Commission, where she leads two initiatives Handle with Care – a response system for children exposed to violence and the Gun Violence Response Network – a collaboration of agencies that work to connect people impacted by gun violence in the St. Louis area with resources following a gun violence incident. Lisa is a graduate of the Neighborhood Leadership Academy and Neighborhood Leadership Fellows Programs at UMSL. Lisa uses her 28 years of neighborhood revitalization experience and volunteers on numerous boards and committees that focus on economic justice and the development of vulnerable communities. She is most involved in the West End neighborhood, where she has resided for 20 years. Lisa is one of the leaders recognized for newly adopted resident led comprehensive community plan by the city and she is Vice President of Delmar Main Street – a revitalization effort to restore equity along the commercial corridor and eliminate the infamous stigma of the Delmar divide by being a catalyst for equitable economic development.
